Block Paving Cleaning

Many thousands of homes and businesses throughout Manchester and surrounding towns Stockport, Sale, Altrincham, Oldham, Prestwich, Ashton under Lyne and Wilmslow.have had block paved driveways, paths and patio installed over the last 20 years. The product continues to be installed by the many thousands of square metres on a yearly basis. When newly installed the transformation is wonderful, however it doesn't take long to start deteriorating in appearance as vehicle access, foot traffic and general soiling can soon detract from the visual appeal soon followed by weed growth and other green growth that settles between the joints.

Manchester Driveway Cleaners can, with the most efficient pressure washing system, remove all evidence of accumulated dirt, algae and weed growth.

If the surface is suffering particularly badly with weed growth we will pre-visit and apply a proprietary weed killer to ensure the root growth is eradicated prior to starting the cleaning process. Equally as important is any oil staining on the block paving as this will need pre-treating for best results. We use an bio-degradable industrial oil removing agent that has great success rates, however due to the nature of many oil leaks on block paving ranging from the length of time the oil has been on the surface, the type of oil and porosity of the material we cannot guarantee 100% removal. We do however feel totally confident that an appreciable difference will be noted after one or several treatments.

We can also carry out a remedial repairs service, lifting block pavers and cutting back tree roots that have dislodged the blocks, raising sunken areas etc.

After we have pressure washed the entire site we will allow a suitable drying time between the repairs and re-application of the kiln dried sand.

Finally, for full protection and colour enhancement of the blocks we will seal the block paving and we will leave a much longer drying time which is critical to reduce any reaction between the acrylic sealers and moisture . A two coat application of Smartseal's premium quality sealer will be applied with a heavy flood coat for the first and a lighter second to ensure long term efficiency and sand stabilisation.
